    A postcard showing downtown Howell, Michigan sent to a Mrs. H.G. Briggs in Chicago, Illinois postmarked March 4, 1898. The streets are unpaved with horses and buggies, bicycles, and people walking. Visible business signs of an undertaker, Goodnow and Beach, Goodnow & Jubb, McPhersons Bank, and Porter Clothing Co. Partial sign with word Cigar.

    Postcard reads: "If you have a magnifying glass you can tell who those boys are on the corner especially the one with the wheel."

    Dr "Sam" Ross practiced dentistry for nearly 60 years; he died in 1975, and his wife died in 1967.

    Kelly was a part of the McPherson Hospital Board in Howell. 

    Kelly helped to coordinate a dance marathon to raise money for research into fighting heart disease in 1984. As chief of staff at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital, Kelly continued to work for research and cardiovascular care for Livingston County Residents. The hospital received a Quality Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology and Southeast Michigan Health Care Quality Forum with his support.

    The exact date, location and names of the other people are unknown.   Dr. Lambie of Midland attended many F. & A.M. lodge events in Livingston County while he was Grand Master.
